This Code of Business Ethics lays down the standards we expect from our employees in their internal and external dealings with customers, colleagues, stakeholders and third parties. Our Code of Business Ethics defines who we are today and every day.
Business Integrity
CivilGEO does not give or receive, whether directly or indirectly, bribes or other improper advantages for financial or business gains. All employees are prohibited from offering, giving or receiving any gift or payment which is, or may be construed as being, a bribe. If there is a demand for, or offer of, a bribe of any kind, it must be rejected immediately and reported to management. They must not practice facilitation payment or other improper payment for any reason.
CivilGEO accounting records and supporting documents must describe and reflect the nature of the underlying transactions in the most accurate manner. Undisclosed or unrecorded account, fund or asset will not be established or maintained at all.
Work Environment
We strive to maintain a healthy and productive work environment. We will recruit, employ and promote employees based on objective criteria and the qualifications, abilities required to perform the job in line. We will provide employees with a total remuneration package that meets or exceeds the legal minimum standards or appropriate prevailing industry standards. We are committed to working with employees to develop and enhance everyone’s skills and capabilities.
We strive to create a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment, whether it’s based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other factors unrelated to CivilGEO’s legitimate business interests. CivilGEO will not tolerate racial or religious slurs or jokes, sexual advances, or any other comments or conduct that, in the judgment of CivilGEO management, builds, encourages or allows an offensive or intimidating work environment.
Other conducts that are prohibited because of their adverse impact on the work environment include:
- Threats or violent behavior
- Possession of any type of weapon
- Use of recording devices of any type, including cell phone cameras and web cameras, except as authorized by the management
- A manager having a romantic relationship with a subordinate
- Possession, use, distribution or sale of illegal drugs or any other controlled substance, except those approved for medical purposes
- Coming to the workplace under the influence of illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, or controlled substances used for non-medical purposes
Furthermore, if the company management finds that your conduct on or off the job is adversely affecting your performance, that of colleagues, or CivilGEO’s legitimate business interests, you will be subject to disciplinary action, that also includes dismissal.
Personal Conduct
All employees are expected to use email, internet, telephones and IT in a manner appropriate for business purposes in line with the principles contained in this Code of Business Ethics and any applicable IT policies. All employees are expected to protect and avoid misuse of the company assets like buildings, vehicles, cash, etc. Employees must not use company assets for personal benefit or the benefit of any individual other than the company.
Customers
At CivilGEO, we put the customer at the center of everything we do. We listen intently to their needs. Each interaction matters. Safety and quality are foundational commitments and are never compromised. All employees are expected to behave honestly and respectfully in all their dealings with customers and the public, in-line with the principles set out in this Code of Business Ethics.
We will especially safeguard and protect the welfare of vulnerable people. Employees will be educated that they hold a role of trust and that they must always maintain the highest standards of personal conduct reflecting this trust being placed with them.
Shareholders
In order to respond to the expectations of shareholders and investors, CivilGEO strives to operate its business globally and enhance its corporate value while achieving a stable and long-term growth. We endeavor to promote an understanding of the corporate management and business activities through timely and fair investor relationship activities. As for corporate governance, we strive to improve the management transparency and actively incorporate management-checks.
