Many of the models I have worked on have been for bridge and culvert replacement, the preloaded load culvert parts make it extremely efficient to create multiple scenarios and anaylze the results from different hydraulic opening quickly and accurately. Additionally being to load CAD files in the model is helpful to check dimensions, assign cross sections from polylines and add quickly update surfaces when survey data is available.

GeoHECHMS imports data from a variety of sources quickly and seamlessly, integrating them into a very accurate model. Thus, providing a user-friendly model that precisely calculates the necessary data, and allows the user to easily design their system. The tools within the software are intuitively easy to implement. All of this saves the user vast amounts of time, especially when compared to the use of multiple programs to perform the same tasks. This software is now our go to for all of our stormwater design projects.
GeoHECHMS’s customer service is the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with. They are prompt to respond, and are able to swiftly fix any model errors.

I like being able to insert Civil3D files for the cross sections to be able to gain their elevation points that way. The versatility of being able to implement various forms of information in the event of not having access to one or the other is what makes this great for me!

I find the automated subbasin delineation, reaches, land use, curve number, and time of concentration very helpful. And the automatic report builder with the hydrograph plots makes it easy to see a graphical comparison of pre vs. post development. Further, CivilGeo customer support is excellent, they have an option to remote in and complete any task that you ask. I’m very impressed with their Customer support.

The user interface is very intuitive and I felt like after the initial tutorial that was provided, it only took a couple of additional projects on my own to have the general project set up and “getting started” tasks down to a very quick and easy thing to do. One additional thing that I really like about the program is the support that Civil Geo offers with its products when a person has questions or any issues. It means a lot to the end user to be able to contact knowledgeable folks that can give you answers, help, or whatever you need in regards to the product in a simple and effective manner.
